How adoption works
- 1
Create an account and confirm your email
You need a confirmed email address to apply. It lets rescuers reach you and keeps fake applications out.
- 2
Find a cat and read their whole profile
Each profile shows what the rescuer knows about the cat's history, health, diet, litter habits and personality. Anything unknown is marked as unknown.
- 3
Fill in the adoption questionnaire
It covers your household, home safety, experience, daily care, vet care, money, emergencies and long-term plans, plus a reference. It takes about 20 minutes, and every question helps the rescuer match the right cat to the right home.
- 4
The rescuer reviews your application
You can follow its status from your dashboard. Rescuers may contact your references or arrange a home check before deciding.
- 5
Sign the adoption agreement
If you're approved, you'll get an agreement to read and sign online. It includes a return-to-caretaker promise: if you ever can't keep your cat, they go back to their rescuer rather than being rehomed privately.
- 6
Bring your cat home and keep in touch
Once the rescuer countersigns, the adoption is complete. You can post updates from your dashboard so the rescuer knows how your cat is settling in.
