Privacy

What we store

• Your name, email address and a securely hashed password. We never store your password itself.
• Profile details you choose to add, such as your town or phone number.
• Adoption applications, agreements, favourites and care updates you create.
• Photos you upload. Location data and other hidden metadata are removed from photos when they are uploaded.

Who reads your messages

Conversations about a cat are private between you and the rescuer or owner. Purr & Paws admins can read a conversation only if someone in it reports it. Messages you send to the Purr & Paws team are read by our admins. Your email address is never shown in chats.

Who sees your application

Only you, the rescuer caring for the cat you applied for, and Purr & Paws admins. Rescuers see your contact details only for applications made to them. Other members never see your applications.

Cookies

We use one cookie to keep you signed in. If you turn on cat sounds, that choice is remembered in your browser. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Visit statistics

We count page visits with Vercel Web Analytics to see which pages are useful. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't follow you to other sites, and doesn't tell us who you are.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from your account settings. This removes your profile and favourites, withdraws open applications, and removes the answers from past applications.
